The Box
In The Box, Rebecca Carpenter explores the tension between the body and its confines, both physical and unseen. Through constructed spaces and controlled compositions, the figure is pressed, folded, and reshaped, revealing how we adapt to limitation and how constraint can both protect and confine.
Each image holds a quiet intensity, where endurance, resistance, and vulnerability exist at once. The work does not seek escape, but instead lingers within the boundaries - examining what it means to remain, to endure, and to be seen within them.

Selected works from The Box are available as open edition prints.
Each piece is produced on archival materials and signed by the artist.
